Class Schedule

Registering for a class is simple, just click on the class type you need below then select the date of the class you would like to attend once the calendar for that class expands.  If you aren't sure what class you need just follow these guidelines:

BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers - Healthcare Professionals including, but not limited to, Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, & CNA's.

Heartsaver CPR/AED - The lay person (non-healthcare) participants including, but not limited to, Fitness Trainers, Daycare Providers, Scout Leaders, Persons wishing to Adopt, New Parents & general members of the public.

Heartsaver First Aid - The lay person (non-healthcare) participants including, but not limited to, Fitness Trainers, Daycare Providers, Scout Leaders, Persons wishing to Adopt, & general members of the public.

NAEMT-TECC -  EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers who respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment.

CPR & First Aid for YOUR PETS - This 5+ hour class includes CPR techniques, first aid skills, and health care and wellness information for dogs and cats (does not include dental or senior care). Additionally, the class includes our PetSaver™ 40-page handbook and upon successful completion, each participant will receive a certificate and wallet card. Sometimes the unexpected happens... Will you be prepared to take action when it does?

PetSaver Training - Premier 8-hour class including CPR techniques, first aid skills, dental and senior care, as well as health and wellness information for dogs and cats. Additionally, the class includes our PetSaver™ 40-page handbook and upon successful completion, each participant will receive a certificate and wallet card. Sometimes the unexpected happens... Will you be prepared to take action when it does?

 

There is no payment due at the time of registration.  Payment can be made in person prior to class at the City of Naperville Finance Department located at 400 S. Eagle. You may elect to make payment at the time of class by check made payable to the City of Naperville/CPR Program or you have the option to pay at the time of class by credit or debit card. Please bring your receipt if paying prior to class.

Payments are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.  However, full credit will be applied to a cancellation that is rescheduled to a different date. Classes with low enrollment are subject to cancellation. Notification will be sent by the email you provide when registering.

*** NOTE *** NAEMT-TECC course cancellations will NOT result in application of a full credit to a different date.

NAEMT's Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers ho to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment.  It is designed to decrease preventable deaths in a tactical situation.  The course presents the three phases of tactical care.

- Direct threat care that is rendered while under attack or in adverse conditions.

- Indirect threat care that is rendered while the threat has been suppressed, but may resurface at any point.

- Evacuation care that is rendered while the casualty is being evacuated from the incident site.

 

The 16-hour classroom course covers the following topics:

- Hemorrhage control

- Surgical airway control and needle decompression

- Strategies for treating wounded responders in threatening environments

- Caring for pediatric patients

- Techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety

 

NAEMT'S TECC course meets the guidelines establlished by the Committee on TECC and the updated National Tactical Emergency Medical Support Competency Domains.  This course is accredited by CAPCE and recognized by NREMT.

All CPR courses are taught by Naperville Firefighters certified by the American Heart Association.
